Why I support Liverpool Pregnancy choices
by Peter Roberts, local Pastor from Trinity Church Everton
Sometimes life’s most significant moments can be times when we feel isolated and alone. Sometimes when we have decisions to make, we feel we need to talk to someone to work out what we actually want, but it’s hard to know where to turn. We don’t want to be judged or shamed. We don’t want to be forced or coerced into doing something we will later regret. Sometimes we just need some space to process what is going on.
I am really supportive of Liverpool Pregnancy Choices because of the way they seek to provide a space for people to work out what to do.
As I read the bible, I see that Jesus was the most compassionate person who ever lived. He was gentle with people when they felt confused. He often asked people questions to get them to understand themselves.
As a charity I am convinced that they are always seeking to treat everyone in the way Jesus would want them to – with dignity, respect and kindness. It has been encouraging to hear many women who have used the service saying they have found a supportive welcome and help to move forwards.
I really recommend them and the services they offer.
