When you find out you are pregnant, you’ll be immediately dealing with all sorts of new physical and medical experiences.

You may be facing symptoms of early pregnancy – some of which are exhausting and tiring. And you’ll have to practice the art of peeing on a stick!

We want to encourage you to take a breath and also note your emotional wellbeing while you come to terms with everything going on in your body. You may not yet have decided whether to continue with the pregnancy – take time to work out that decision, give yourself space, talk to a friend, get some specialist counselling to help you.

It may be useful to think about your head, your heart and your hands – does what you are saying in your head ,or perhaps others are saying to you, fit with those deeper, more heart  beliefs you hold? How does your decision fit with what is important to you, what you believe about yourself and the world you live in? And remember what you carry in your hands – what resources (both internal and external) are you bringing to this new situation you find yourself in – it could be a friendship, a partner, an attribute of your personality that you are confident you’ll bring to this.

At Liverpool Pregnany Choices, we help women  facing unexpected pregnancy by using ‘head, heart and hands’ to understand themselves, what is influencing their decision making, and to ensure that they are ready for the path ahead.

If you think this would be a useful process for you, do get in touch to organise a session with one of our Advisors.
